SQL Server Express 17 on Windows Server 2022 is a pre-configured Amazon Machine Image (AMI) from Belinda CZ s.r.o. for development, learning, small-scale database applications and database-driven web applications.

The Amazon Machine Image includes pre-installed SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) for SQL Server database management.

SQL Server Express Limitations

  • SQL Express 17 is limited to a 50 GB database.
  • SQL Express does not support Failover Cluster and Log Shipping.
  • SQL Express does not include SQL Server Agent.

Administration Note

If you experience issues accessing SQL Server Express as a system administrator, a script and accompanying README are provided on the desktop.
